Remember ALL God's promises have requirements/conditions.


Deut.7:1 there are many nations (things,people,etc) in the land you are
entering to possess.

A. there are 7 listed,greater than you are
B. these 7 listed - are all descendants of Ham's son,Canaan,who
Noah cursed and called to be servants.(Gen.9:25-27)
C. the things that are to serve us many times end up with us
serving them.


Deut.7:2 even tho they are mightier than you "when the Lord gives them
over to you"

A. You must utterly destroy them
B. make NO covenant with them
C. show them NO MERCY


Deut.7:3 You SHALL NOT make marriage with them

A. do not give your daughter
B. do not take his daughter


Deut.7:4 If you rebel He will destroy you quickly

Deut.7:5 Do this to them

A. Break down their altars/break their pillars into pieces
B. Hew down their asherim (homes for their gods)
C. Burn their graven images with fire



Deut.7:6 Our calling - reason (1Pet.2:9)

Deut.7:7 Not because of who we are

Deut.7:8 But because of who He is

Deut.7:9 He keeps His covenant

Deut.7:10 Those who hate Him HE destroys them Face to Face (1Cor.6:9)

Deut.11:26-28 Blessing and curse


Deut.7:11-12 Keep covenant and HE will HAVE TO keep HIS covenant
