YOU are a Precious Stone, A Diamond.
When diamonds are found they are rough and usually not at all pretty, in fact they are easily missed because of their appearance.
Then they are taken to the diamond cutter. He looks them over and then for the ones he receives to work with he makes a plan designed for each one of them - no two are alike, each has its own plan. Then he marks them up and starts to chisel away a part , breaks off some parts and then he starts the job of polishing them. Even after they have been shaped they must be polished before going on display to the world. They are VERY hard so it takes time and effort to polish them.
We as Christians are also diamonds in the rough.
Most of us are ugly stones when we come to the Master but--
Our Diamond Cutter also has a plan for each of those He receives. As a diamond cutter will not receive rough stones that do not meet his qualifications, our diamond Cutter will only receive stones that meet His qualifications. (those that will submit to Him) Stones that He is able to cut and chisel -that are willing to be broken before Him, to have the rough edges and unsitely parts removed and then to endure the tedious process of being polished to that high luster that shows the work of the Master Diamond Cutter.
As the natural diamond stone, to become what we really are we must have some parts chiseled off and be properly shaped and then polished.( this takes time and patience)
If we understand the plan and process are to bless us, protect us, cover us, and then when we are properly formed and polished - TO USE US - TO DIPLAY US TO THE WORLD AS AN EXAMPLE OF HIS WORKMANSHIP THEN AND ONLY THEN CAN WE SUBMIT TO THIS PROCESS OF PREPARATION.
So SUBMIT to the Master and then in His time and plan He will place you on display to the world a true example of HIS workmanship. Only by this process can you be all HE has planned for you to be.
Malachi 3:16-18
