An Important Truth about the New Testament

I am going to show a cause of confusion in the bible translations   , another reason we must know how to go to the original languages when searching for scripture truth. .

The New Testament age, the last age of man, does not include most of Matthew, Mark, Luke or John.    The early parts of the Gospels are telling us about when and how the new testament age (the age of christ’s rule) was instituted on the earth.   It is important to understand this as many people do not realize it.

Many professing Christians do not believe this and will argue that the New Covenant age begins at the 1st chapter of each of these books. That is simply NOT TRUE !

The book chapter and verses were added later supposedly to make it easier to study and reference.

It is far more important to know AND PROPERLY UNDERSTAND 10 pieces of scripture than to be able to quote the whole bible chapter & verse and not understand it correctly

It is fact that the New testament, the actual beginning of the Kingdom of God on earth is when Jesus dies and the veil is supernaturally rent, then He is resurrected and is fully implemented on the day of Pentecost with the arrival of the Holy Spirit who is now available to all mankind.. The Kingdom of God has been taught on earth from the beginning of John’s ministry. This early part is included as new testament because it gave us the birth of the Son of God, who would bring in the new testament age. .

The Kingdom of God arrived at the resurrection of Christ which was the proof He is the Son of God that scripture was prophesying about coming as the savior of man.

The arrival of the Holy Spirit on the day of pentecost was the fulfillment of Jesus ministry and brought the arrival of the final age of man into fulfillment.

The first chapters and verses from the four Gospels are the beginning of the life of Christ who brought the new covenant but the New Testament Age did not begin until after the death and resurrection of Christ.

All of the four Gospels except for the parts listed below took place IN THE OLD TESTAMENT AGE.  YOU MUST UNDERSTAND THIS FACT TO CORRECTLY UNDERSTAND the things that took place during that time period. Jesus operated under the law until His death and resurrection fulfilled the law and closed it forever. His blood sacrifice and His defeat of the power of death over man, began the new covenant age under which He has ALL the power and authority of God until the end of this age which will bring the judgment of God. At that time He will return ALL authority to God and sit down in submission to His father for eternity.

Matt 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

1 Cor 15:22-28 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. 23 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming. 24 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God His Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. 27 For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,” it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. 28 Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.

Using the NKJV chapter and verse system we will look at The four Gospels and see what is truth.

Matt 27:50-54 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.

51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, 52 and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; 53 and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

54 So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!”

This chapter 27 verse 20 is the first verse of Matthew in the New Testament age and the actual beginning of the new covenant age.

Mark 15:37-39 And Jesus cried out with a loud voice, and breathed His last.

38 Then the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. 39 So when the centurion, who stood opposite Him, saw that He cried out like this and breathed His last,* he said, “Truly this Man was the Son of God!”

This verse Chapter 1 verse 37 is the first verse of the New Testament age found in Mark and the actual beginning of the New Testament age

Luke 23:45-47 Then the sun was darkened,* and the veil of the temple was torn in two. 46 And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.'”* Having said this, He breathed His last.

47 So when the centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying, “Certainly this was a righteous Man!”

This chapter 23 verse 45 is the first verse of Matthew of the New Testament age and the actual beginning of the new covenant age.

John 19:30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

This chapter 19 verse 30 is the first verse of Matthew in the New Testament and the actual beginning of the new covenant age, the final age of mankind and of the current earth.

The Reason this is important is that if you do not understand when the beginning of the new covenant actually was you would assume, as many do, that Jesus was including part of the law in the new testament, but He did not. He only submitted to it until He had fulfilled it thereby replacing it with His Law of Mercy and Forgiveness instead of the harsh punishments for missing the mark found in  of the law God gave to Israel through Moses.

This is just another helpful aid to show you that things are not always as taught. That is why it is imperative you NOT believe anything any one (including me) wants to teach you until you have the confirmation of Holy Spirit and scripture that it is the truth, not your bible (which is a translation not scripture) Charles LaFoe
