There is much confusion in CHRISTIANITY today about what the “church” is. It is time that the Christians of this era understand what the “church' of Jesus Christ is.
THE CHURCH
Is NOT a building ( but it may meet in one)
Is NOT a denomination
Is NOT defined by the number of members
Is NOT defined by it affluence
Is NOT defined by it humanitarian programs
Is NOT run by A man ( it is His church, not “my church” as so many claim
Is NOT controlled by outside-distant or other leadership
Is NOT a place ( tho it may meet in a place
Is NOT where you worship one day and attend a flea mareket sale the next
Is NOT being somewhrere whenever the doors are open
Is NOT giving your money to a building ( or other) fund to support an extravagant “ministry” style
Is NOT obeying your “pastor”
Is NOT paying tithes
Is NOT a place to go to celebrate heathen holidays
Is NOT a business
Is NOT a social club
Is NOT a bingo hall
Is NOT a place to hide from God
Is NOT just believing that Jesus is the Son of God
THE CHURCH
IS 2 or more people meeting with God in His name
IS a living breathing organism
IS a gathering where people are healed, filled with the Holy Spirit, given hope, learning how to relate to God-learning to understand and live the scriptures
IS people that are pleasing to God
IS a people that are living to please God
IS a people that are governed from above and led from within
IS a choice
IS a HOLY people
IS a gathering of people who are daily dying to their flesh
IS a lifestyle
IS enmity to the carnal man
IS being about the Fathers business
IS God's PEOPLE and nothing more
